Children are delightful and incredibly resilient patients, especially when they can see the progress made with their surgery!
I have always found the treatment of children with congenital or aquired deformities to be one of the most satisfying aspects of plastic surgery.
I deal specifically with cleft and craniofacial deformities primarily through my public practice at Middlemore Hospital. We see patients referred from our region as well as nation-wide and work closely with other paediatric experts such as neurosurgeons and ENT surgeons when required. My special areas of interest are:
- Birthmarks and vascular anomalies
- Scar revision
- Cleft Lip and Palate
- Congenital Craniofacial Deformities such as craniosynostosis
- Facial Palsy (in children and adults)
Your child can be seen on referral from your GP or specialist (if from out-of-area) and please feel free to email if you have questions about your child's condition or treatment.
